Our electronic publications save you time and money
Most electronic publications can be created in less time and for less money than print. Our production cycle is shorter - sometimes by several weeks. Our total production costs are less - often less than half. The costs of distributing an electronic publication via the Internet or on CD-ROM is almost always a small fraction of the costs of distributing a hard copy document.
We design and produce easy-to-use electronic publications
Simple "point and click" menus provide ready access to the publication's content. An intuitive command bar presents the features available to navigate, view, search and print the material. Customized "Tutorial" and "Help" sections assist users understand every aspect of the software used to support the publication. And, each EIS publication includes our tech support phone number - for those times when you want some personal assistance.
We incorporate powerful user-oriented features
Our publications include "Hot Links", "Bookmarks" and "Thumbnails" to automate navigation; "Article Threads" to automate on screen viewing and "Web Links" to access material on the Internet. We include "Text Select" and "Graphics Select" features so users can copy sections they want to use in a word processor; automated "Forms Fill In" to collect product orders or other information you want to collect from users; and a selective "Password Protection" capability so you can regulate which contents the users can and can not access and what they can and cannot do with it. We also provide "Full Text", "Indexed" and "Keyword" search capabilities to assist users find the information they want.
We can integrate multimedia
We can integrate audio, video and computer animation to add value and impact to an electronic publication. Seminar proceedings can be enhanced by adding the audio portion of each presentation. Catalogs will have more impact if they include video demonstrations of key products. Textbooks will be more effective if computer animation is used to illustrate important concepts.
We meet tight deadlines
Most of the electronic publishing work we do is on a tight and unmovable deadline. Seminar proceedings, product catalogs, textbooks - all of these products must be delivered on time. Any delay is unthinkable.
To assure on time delivery of our work, we use proven, effective project management techniques. We carefully plan the work. We develop a realistic time-phased work plan. Then, we carefully work the plan. We diligently monitor the progress of each step. We conduct periodic progress meetings with the client so we all know the status of the project. If something unforeseen happens, we fix it before it becomes a schedule issue.
On time delivery is not a given. We earn it on each project.
Re-purposing electronic publications
Electronic publications that are created for one purpose can be reissued for another (i.e. "re-purposed"). Re-purposed material can be reissued on the same media or a different one. For example, an electronic publication that was originally distributed to seminar participants via CD-ROM could subsequently be distributed to all company employees via the Internet, a corporate network, or even in print.
Electronic publishing gives you flexibility and helps you make the most of your content.
